The Northside High School Alumni Association is hosting its 2009 Northside Alumni Weekend, October 22nd – 25th. Visit the Northside 2009 Weekend webpage.

The weekend begins where it all began with a Football Homecoming, Thursday, Oct 22nd at Crump Stadium, 7:00 pm (Northside High vs. Manassas High). Tickets are $6.00 at the gate and $4.00 in advance. Advance tickets can be purchased at Northside High School.

On Friday, October 23rd, the Northside Alumni men’s basketball league will play Hamilton alumni at Northside High School. The game will start at 7:00 pm. This is a joint venture between the Northside Alumni Association and Hamilton Alumni. We are encouraging our alumni to buy advance tickets. Tickets are $5.00 per person. The concession stand will be open for food and drink purchases during the game.

Saturday, October 24th will be “Party Time” as the alumni association host an all alumni party at Bridges, 477 N. Fifth Street, at the corner of A.W. Willis and Fifth St. (formally Auction Street - see image on left). The party will start at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door. For advance tickets, call (901) 679-8077.

We will also sell advance tickets in the gymnasium ticket booth at Northside High School on Saturday, October 17th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Reserve tables are also available to those alumni classes wishing to purchase tickets for their group. The deadline for purchasing reserve tables will be October 17th.

The alumni weekend will end with GospelFest 2009 located at Northside High School on Sunday, October 25, 2009. The event will be held in the auditorium at 3:00 pm. Come and enjoy an afternoon of gospel performances by the Four Stars, the GospelForce, Bethlehem M. B. Church Youth Choir, Maranataha Faith Temple, St. Andrews AME Men's Choir, Ellis Grove Men's Choir, Gospel Rap artist - Arlen Berry, Rev. Michael McKinney, Stefanie Alexander, Jonatha Lias and Paula Caine. Admission is free. However, donations will be taken during the event to raise money for our scholarship fund. Refreshments will be served after the event.

“It’s going down in Midtown!” NHS c/90 is having a costume party at Rudabagas (located at 282 N. Cleveland St., Memphis, TN 38104 ) on October 31, 2009, from 9 pm - until. Free hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Best costume will win a prize!
